Nevzat Yildirim
Nevzat Yildirim was born in 1987 in Adapazari, Turkey. In 2010 he had graduated with honours from the Photography and Graphic Arts department of Fine Arts faculty of the Kocaeli University. The same year Nevzat was selected as a winner of the “Young Photographers Award” in the “Moon and Stars Project” organised in the U.S.A. by the American Turkish Society. His work is represented in the photo collection of one of the world’s most prestigious museums in the States, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and in private collections. In 2015 Nevzat Yildirim obtained his MA degree from the Department of Photography of the Institute of Fine Arts at the Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts. He has received over 40 awards from national and international photography competitions. He has published three book about his photo projects.
Whirling Dervishes
Working with Turkish photographer Nevzat Yildirim we have launched the Albumen Gallery Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal.
Proceeds from all ‘Whirling Dervishes’ print sales are donated to the @yetimvakfi Yetim Foundation charity supporting families in the earthquake zone.
