Succulents

In her Succulents series Monique Relova continues in the tradition of still life photography of succulent plants entering a creative dialogue with artists like Imogen Cunningham and Karl Blossfeldt. Her stylized black and white closeup images of succulents uniquely capture the intricate shapes and textures of the plants in a minimalistic, modern aesthetic – at times playfully lending them an abstract character.
