Antonis Anagnostou

Not long after the fall of the Ceausescu regime Greek photographer  Antonis Anagnostou travelled extensively in Romania – particularly in the Carpathian mountain region. His photos paint a fascinating picture of comunities that appear to have untouched by modern times – their lives governed by their Christian Orthodox traditions at times mingled with traces of paganism.
