Jonathan Moore
You can’t change your skin
Feb 15 – May 5th
‘You cannot change your skin’ was borne out of documentary work Jonathan Moore undertook in Ukraine.
He travelled to Ukraine independently in January with the idea of photographing
what life was like for people living under the weight of an impending war.
I spent the weeks before the invasion in Mariupol. After fleeing to Lviv, I volunteered as a photographer for the Ukrainian Red Cross where I documented the humanitarian situation in the city and on the border.
During the six months Jonathan Moore spent in Ukraine he became very close to both those who gave everything to help and those who needed it. He became friends with those whose lives changed because of the war’s consequences. This is the second front.
Fine art pigment prints of all photos in the exhibition are available from Albumen Gallery. For enquiries contact .
